I felt so inspired to write about it after watching this talk by the amazing woman Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo, who is a buddhist monk. The name of the lecture is 'What can I do to change the world?' and she talks about love, compassion & empathy to all sensitve beings.

We live our lives ruled by the ego and the mind, which creates a sense of separation - I and you, I and them. We forgot our true essencial nature of oneness, that is why is so important to cultivate emphaty and compassion, to open our hearts to the pain of others . To recognize that just as I would rather be happy and avoid pain & suffering, so does all other beings. Just like we don't like to be treated unkindly , so does all beings. Once we start understanding that from a space inside us, and we cultive self love and self awareness, we will start acting more conciously. Why would I want to harm anyone, whether it may be with  words or actions? We wll ask ourselves how norrow or how open is our minds to accept and embrace all beings? With no inward boundaries, no more walls saying ' i love this group and not that one', not only our family,  friends and our pets but all beings, every human on this planet, all animals and insects.

There is no such a thing as changing the world, we can only change ourselves, and try to spread happiness , love and kindness to those around us. That is why I said 'cultivating love & compassion' because we need to cultivate and nurture them inside ourselves in order to be able to share it with others. So cultivate self love, self care, meditate ( I recently discovered metta meditation and sounds awesome!). And spread that around, a little bit more empathy in the world is needed - if someone is in pain, feel their pain and show them some love, if someone is incredible happy, be happy for them and celebrate together.

And keep in mind that we can only love other as much as we love ourselves.

When I decided to backpack on my own through Europe last summer, I had one thing in mind: to explore the road less traveled. Don't get me wrong, I love capitals and truly believe they have so much to offer but I was looking for something different, and trying to live the philosophy of 'going local'. So while planning my trip I chose some small cities to visit and also made sure that I left 'unplanned' space in case something fun happened along the way.
Cesky Krumlov is a medieval town with so much history and beuaty, it is the south of Czech Republic - a region called Bohemian. It's very small so you can walk all day long and everywhere. With castles, medieval buildings and urban legends, not to mention the beautiful river that crosses the town - where you can go for a swim or maybe do some rafting! Such a lovely summer destination, and Czech Republic is increible cheap and beautiful - who could ask for more ?

Capturing interiors that are full of beauty and personality. And a shotout to the cutest little shop in Den Bosch.

I love discovering concept shops, cafés, restaurants or someone's apartment because most of the time it is a beautiful work of art, all the little details curated with so much love and full of meaning. Today I am exposing Daily Poetry, a cute concept store in Den Bosch. Everything in there seems to be carefully curated, you can find everything from stationary, beautiful organic clothes, bikes, amazing collection of magazines, you name it. And the best part: after doing your shopping go check their lounge/café space & prepare your own café or tea while you read a book, play the piano, do some work or chat with a friend.

Here is a little confession, I love taking pictures of random strangers in the streets. The beauty of a moment, so normal & ephemeral, that might pass unrealized by most people. If we are aware enough, we can see beauty, poetry and magic in everything, it is all around us. Don't get me wrong, it is not as if I went out with that in mind, looking for beautiful faces in the crow, it is quite the opposite: in the middle of the crowd, something catch my attention and I put my camera out and save that moment. One of these days someone will probably complain and scream at me  ' Hey girl, are you taking pictures of me ?' in the mean time, I will keep on enjoying my secret/guilty pleasure.

What makes a good coffee shop?
 1. Great coffee
2. Feeling of home (the sense of coziness:wanting to hang in there for hours, chatting or working)
3. Cool staff
With that being said, Coffeelab does have all the requirements checked.
